Product Details

Welcome to Plant&Leaf and our range of family grown plants.

The first photo serves as a representative display of the mother tree.

The last photo is a sample of how a 30cm (Approx) cuttings generally look like. This listing is for one(1) cutting only.

I recommend a mixture of 50% Sphagnum Peat Moss and 50% Coarse Perlite for rooting the cutting, and placing it somewhere warm, bright, and protected from rain and direct sun.

Showground Curl is a unique variety of Frangipani exclusive to Plant&Leaf that has a lovely showground smell, people who have smelt it have suggested it smells like Churros which is really quite lovely and unexpected.

All of our plants are grown outdoors in nature and are exposed to the natural elements. Sometimes this means a leaf could have been chewed here and there or have a blemish or two – but we do our best to send the best plants we can on every order.

Growing frangipani (Plumeria) is rewarding—they’re tough, drought-tolerant, and flower beautifully with just a bit of care. Here’s a clear, practical guide:

🌱 How to Grow Frangipani (Plumeria)

1. Choose the Right Location

  • Full sun is essential — at least 6 hours per day for best flowering.

  • They prefer warm climates, but can be grown in pots in cooler areas and brought indoors during winter.

🌱 Soil Requirements

  • Well-draining soil is a must. They hate wet feet.

  • Ideal mix:

    • 1 part potting soil

    • 1 part coarse sand / perlite

    • 1 part compost

If planting in the ground, choose a sandy or loamy spot, not clay.

💧 Watering

  • Water deeply but infrequently.

  • Let soil dry out between waterings.

  • In winter, water sparingly—plants semi-dormant and can rot if kept wet.

🌼 Fertilizing

  • Use a phosphorus-rich fertilizer for better flowering (look for a higher middle number, e.g., 10-30-10).

  • Feed every 2–4 weeks during the growing season (spring–summer).

  • Stop feeding in autumn.

✂️ Pruning

  • Prune in late winter or early spring to shape the plant.

  • Avoid cutting too much; flowers appear at branch tips, so pruning reduces blooms that season.

🪴 Growing in Pots

  • Use a large, heavy pot to avoid tipping.

  • Repot every 2–3 years.

  • Excellent choice for cold climates—move indoors when temperatures drop below 10°C

🌤️ Winter Care

  • Keep dry.

  • Protect from frost.

  • Indoor plants need a bright window and minimal water.
