All of our plants are grown outdoors in nature and are exposed to the natural elements. Sometimes this means a leaf could have been chewed here and there or have a blemish or two – but we do our best to send the best plants we can on every order.

Scindapsus are a popular and easy-to-care-for houseplant known for its trailing vines and heart-shaped leaves. Here's how to keep Scindapsus thriving:

1. Light: Scindapsus plants tolerate a wide range of light conditions but prefer bright, indirect light. They can also adapt to lower light conditions, although their growth may slow down, and variegated varieties may lose some of their color. Avoid direct sunlight, as it can scorch the leaves.

2. Temperature: Scindapsus thrives in typical room temperatures between 18°C to 29°C.

3. Watering: Allow the top few centimeters of the soil to dry out between waterings. Water thoroughly when you do water, ensuring that excess water drains away from the pot. Overwatering can lead to root rot, so it's essential to let the soil dry out a bit between waterings.

4. Humidity: Scindapsus can tolerate average indoor humidity levels, but they appreciate higher humidity if possible. You can increase humidity by misting the leaves regularly, placing a humidifier nearby, or grouping plants together.

5. Soil: Use a well-draining potting mix rich in organic matter. A general-purpose potting mix works well for Scindapsus. Ensure that the pot has drainage holes to prevent waterlogging.

6. Fertilization: Feed your Scindapsus with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer diluted to half strength every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Avoid fertilizing in the winter when growth slows down.

7. Pruning: Prune your Scindapsus as needed to maintain its shape and encourage bushy growth. You can also prune to control its size or remove any leggy or yellowing stems.

8. Propagation: Scindapsus is easy to propagate through stem cuttings. Simply take a cutting with several nodes, place it in water or moist soil, and wait for roots to develop. Once roots have formed, you can plant the cutting in a pot with well-draining soil.

9. Pest Control: Keep an eye out for common houseplant pests like spider mites, aphids, and mealybugs. If you notice any signs of infestation, treat the plant with insecticidal soap or neem oil.
