Welcome to Plant&Leaf and our range of family grown plants. The first photo serves as a representative display, showcasing the beauty of a mature plant. The second photo provides a sample of a single plant from the current batch available. Please note the Pot size displayed on the heading of each product.

All of our plants are grown outdoors in nature and are exposed to the natural elements. Sometimes this means a leaf could have been chewed here and there or have a blemish or two – but we do our best to send the best plants we can on every order.

Syngoniums, also known as arrowhead plants or arrowhead vines, are popular houseplants known for their attractive foliage and easy care. Here are some tips to keep your Syngonium healthy:

  1. Light: Syngoniums prefer bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight as it can scorch their leaves. They can tolerate lower light conditions but may not grow as vigorously.

  2. Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Allow the top inch of soil to dry out before watering again. Overwatering can lead to root rot, while underwatering can cause wilting and leaf drop.

  3. Humidity: Syngoniums thrive in humid conditions, so it's beneficial to increase humidity levels, especially indoors. You can achieve this by misting the leaves regularly, placing the plant on a tray of pebbles filled with water, or using a humidifier.

  4. Temperature: They prefer temperatures between 15°C to 29°C. Protect them from cold drafts and sudden temperature changes, especially during winter.

  5. Soil: Plant Syngoniums in a well-draining potting mix rich in organic matter. A mixture of peat moss, perlite, and compost works well. Repotting annually in spring can help refresh the soil and provide more space for growth.

  6. Fertilizing: Feed your Syngonium with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength every 2-4 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Reduce fertilization frequency in fall and winter.

  7. Pruning: Regular pruning helps maintain a bushy and compact growth habit. Trim leggy or yellowing stems to encourage new growth and remove any dead or damaged leaves.

  8. Support: Provide a support structure such as a moss pole or trellis for climbing varieties to encourage upward growth and prevent them from becoming leggy.

  9. Pests and Diseases: Keep an eye out for common pests like spider mites, aphids, and mealybugs. Wipe the leaves with a damp cloth regularly to remove dust and discourage pests. Treat any infestations promptly with insecticidal soap or neem oil. Ensure good air circulation around the plant to prevent fungal diseases.

By following these care tips, you can enjoy healthy and vibrant Syngoniums in your home or office space.
