All of our plants are grown outdoors in nature and are exposed to the natural elements. Sometimes this means a leaf could have been chewed here and there or have a blemish or two – but we do our best to send the best plants we can on every order.

Cordyline, also known as Ti plant, is a popular ornamental plant appreciated for its vibrant foliage and architectural form. Here's how to care for a Cordyline:

1. Light: Cordylines thrive in bright, indirect light. They can tolerate some direct sunlight, especially morning sun, but too much direct sunlight can scorch their leaves. Place your Cordyline in a location where it receives plenty of bright, filtered light throughout the day.

2. Temperature: Cordylines prefer temperatures between 65°F to 80°F (18°C to 27°C). They can tolerate slightly cooler temperatures, but they are sensitive to frost. Protect them from cold drafts and freezing temperatures.

3. Watering: Keep the soil evenly moist but not waterlogged. Water your Cordyline when the top inch of soil feels dry to the touch. During the growing season (spring and summer), water more frequently, and reduce watering in the winter when growth slows down. Ensure proper drainage to prevent waterlogging, which can lead to root rot.

4. Humidity: Cordylines prefer moderate to high humidity levels. If you're growing them indoors, you can increase humidity by misting the leaves regularly, placing a humidifier nearby, or placing the pot on a tray filled with pebbles and water. Grouping plants together can also help create a humid microclimate.

5. Soil: Use a well-draining potting mix rich in organic matter. A mix formulated for tropical plants or a blend of peat moss, perlite, and compost works well. Ensure the pot has drainage holes to prevent waterlogging.

6. Fertilization: Feed your Cordyline with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer diluted to half strength every 4-6 weeks during the growing season (spring and summer). Avoid fertilizing during the winter months when growth slows down.

7. Pruning: Remove any yellow or damaged leaves regularly to maintain the plant's appearance and health. You can also prune leggy stems to encourage bushier growth.

8. Repotting: Repot your Cordyline every 2-3 years or when it outgrows its current container. Choose a pot that is slightly larger than the current one and refresh the soil to provide fresh nutrients.

9. Pest Control: Keep an eye out for common houseplant pests like spider mites, aphids, and mealybugs. If you notice any signs of infestation, treat the plant with insecticidal soap or neem oil.
