All of our plants are grown outdoors in nature and are exposed to the natural elements. Sometimes this means a leaf could have been chewed here and there or have a blemish or two – but we do our best to send the best plants we can on every order.

Dieffenbachia, also known as dumb cane, is a popular houseplant known for its attractive foliage. Here are some tips on how to keep your Dieffenbachia healthy:

1. Light: Place your Dieffenbachia in a location with bright, indirect sunlight. Direct sunlight can scorch its leaves, so it's best to avoid placing it in direct sunlight.

2. Watering: Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Allow the top inch of soil to dry out slightly between waterings. Overwatering can lead to root rot, so it's essential to strike the right balance.

3. Humidity: Dieffenbachia prefers high humidity levels. You can increase humidity by misting the plant regularly, placing a humidity tray filled with water and pebbles beneath the pot, or using a room humidifier.

4. Temperature: Dieffenbachia prefers temperatures between 65°F to 75°F (18°C to 24°C). It can tolerate slightly cooler temperatures but is sensitive to cold drafts.

5. Soil: Use well-draining, rich potting soil for your Dieffenbachia. A mix of peat moss, perlite, and compost works well.

6. Fertilization: Feed your Dieffenbachia with a balanced liquid fertilizer diluted to half strength during the growing season (spring and summer) once a month. Avoid fertilizing during the winter months when the plant is dormant.

7. Pruning: Prune your Dieffenbachia to remove any yellow or damaged leaves. This encourages new growth and maintains the plant's shape.

8. Repotting: Repot your Dieffenbachia every 1-2 years, or when it outgrows its current pot. Choose a pot that is slightly larger than the current one, and refresh the soil while repotting.
