All of our plants are grown outdoors in nature and are exposed to the natural elements. Sometimes this means a leaf could have been chewed here and there or have a blemish or two – but we do our best to send the best plants we can on every order.

Rhodospatha

Rhodospatha is a beautiful tropical aroid prized for its attractive foliage and climbing growth habit. A less commonly seen plant, it makes a great addition to an indoor plant collection or a warm, humid outdoor growing area.

🌿 Growing & Care

Light: Bright, indirect or filtered light is ideal. Avoid harsh direct afternoon sun, which can scorch the foliage.

Water: Keep the potting mix lightly and consistently moist, but never waterlogged. Allow the surface of the mix to begin drying slightly before watering again.

Humidity: Rhodospatha appreciates high humidity and will perform best in warm, humid conditions with good airflow.

Temperature: This is a tropical plant and prefers warm conditions. Protect from cold temperatures and prolonged exposure to temperatures below approximately 15°C.

Potting Mix: Use a loose, chunky and well-draining aroid mix that allows plenty of air around the roots while still retaining some moisture.

Growth Habit: Rhodospatha is naturally a climbing plant. Providing a moss pole, coir pole or other suitable support will encourage it to climb and can help produce larger, more mature foliage.
